It is now mandatory to wear face coverings on public transport and it will be mandatory to wear them in shops from 24th July.

Some people can’t wear face masks due to disability, severe distress or existing health conditions. There is no requirement for a GP letter relating to exemption when travelling or out shopping. You are able to self-declare that you are exempt if asked to wear one. Exemption cards are available to be printed here. They can be used for both travelling and shopping and cover a wide range of conditions.
